Well.. depends on what you use it for..
My girlfriend happens to be on a College photography course, I’m sure that counts as professional use.
If you’re daughter took dumbass pictures like that with a Nikon I’d tell her to drop the course.

Assumes that girl must be bratty rather than simply enjoying the use of her camera.
Whenever I see these “in the mirror shots” I am bothered because to stabilize the camera you should put the hand that focuses the lens under it, not around the top.
Well, Seeing as she was either A) Fixing the focus B) fixing her telephoto, or C) hiding her face, SHE GOT THE PICTURE. The unconventional rules of photography are smiling at this girl.
I dated a girl in college for photography once. Trust me, it doesn’t make holding a camera and pointing it seem any more legitimate. Not that all photography majors are like that, but she was one of the many looking for people to think she was unique and to give her attention.

All SLR cameras use the same key components, your argument is invalid.
As a baseling yes, but Nikon has yet to make it to the 21st century with fully automated lenses… +1 Canon.
The only benefit Nikon has over Canon with this is that you can use their 50yo lenses still. Yeah. Benefit? Nah.
